Winter Lake

We drove up to the beach yesterday and, not surprisingly, we were the only visitors. It was a tropical 40ish degrees, warm enough to melt most of the snow on the ground but not enough to make much of a dent in the ice and snow covered Lake Erie.

We walked around and I was struck with how quiet it was...no traffic noises, no waves, no boats, nothing. There's a tiny marina nestled at the end of this stretch of beach where a couple dozen small boats are sitting, waiting for the weather to turn and the waters to thaw. I'm with you, boats.
